Freestanding baths in a bathrooms shout opulence and tranquility at the same time.

Things to think about before you design your bathroom around a freestanding bath

  1. Have you got the space – A massive freestanding bath can make your room feel smaller. Ensure you take space into consideration. You can get small versions if the bath is more of a showpiece than a used product.
  2. Have you got the budget – Decent free standing baths can be pricey. You can make a saving on sites like Victoria Plumbing (UK) however take all of the fixtures and fittings into conderation. https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/baths/free-standing-baths
  3. Taps, Pipes and Waste – Are your taps coming out of the wall, are they freestanding like the bath, is the waste seen if so would it look best to have it in chrome.
  4. Structural integrity – How heavy is your bath going to be? Can the sub structure take the weight? Some freestanding baths come in stone and they are heavy, fill it with water and your weight and its becomes incredibly heavy.  This may not be on everyone’s list however it should be considered.

I hope the above bathroom design ideas inspire you in not only choosing the appropriate bath but also its design.
